Dik Trom by the Windmill
Dik Trom stands on a country path with his hands in his pockets. His dog sits beside him and looks up. Beyond a wooden fence lies a narrow stretch of water, with a tall windmill on the opposite bank; a small house and clouds appear behind it. His shorts and suspenders give him a clear silhouette. Use wood tones for the windmill sails and fence, then a cooler color for the water running past the grass.
Printing tips
Set your printer to “fit to page” and turn off headers and footers. Ordinary 80 gsm paper is fine for pencils; use 120 gsm or heavier if you colour with markers so the ink does not bleed through.
