Privacy policy

Last updated: 2026-09-02

This is the privacy policy for Kleurkraam (kleurkraam.be). It is written to tell you plainly what does and does not happen with data on this site. It is a readable, honest overview — not legal advice about your particular situation.

Who is responsible?

Kleurkraam is run by a sole trader based in Belgium:

This person is the "data controller" under Art. 4(7) GDPR for all processing of personal data connected with this site.

What we don't collect

Kleurkraam has no user accounts, no login, no contact forms, no comments, no newsletter and no upload feature. You pick a coloring page, print or download it, and that's it. We never ask for your name, address, age or email to use the site, and nothing you do on the site is linked by us to a personal profile.

What happens automatically

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare briefly processes technical connection data (such as your IP address) to deliver pages to you and to guard against abuse or attacks. We have no access to this ourselves and don't use it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in keeping the site reliable and secure.

With your consent, we measure visitor numbers using Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited). The Google tag loads only after you choose "Accept". Google may then use cookies and similar technologies to process information including page views, device data and approximate location data. If you choose "Decline", we do not load the tag. The legal basis for this processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and the Belgian cookie-consent rule in Book XII of the Code of Economic Law).

Advertising: Google AdSense and Adsterra

Kleurkraam is kept free through advertising served via Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited) and Adsterra (AD MARKET LIMITED / ADMEDIA LLC FZ). Until you give consent, we load no advertising script and set no advertising cookie — the banner at the bottom of the page explicitly asks for your consent before anything from an advertising partner is loaded. Choose "Decline" and the site works exactly the same, with no ads and without asking again on every visit from the same device.

Choose "Accept" and the advertising scripts load. Google and Adsterra may set cookies and similar technologies to show, measure and — if you allow it — personalise ads based on your browsing. The advertising partners act as independent data controllers for that processing. The legal basis for placing these cookies is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, combined with the Belgian cookie-consent rule in Book XII of the Code of Economic Law). You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing your browser's site data, or via adssettings.google.com . For details about processing and retention, see the privacy policies of Google and Adsterra .

Children and advertising

Some of our coloring pages are aimed at children (animals, Sinterklaas, fairy tales, vehicles, pets). On those pages Google AdSense receives an explicit child-directed treatment signal and serves non-personalised ads. Adsterra banners load only after consent; Adsterra may then process technical data and ad interactions as described in its privacy policy. A parent or guardian can choose "Decline" for a child, in which case no advertising script is loaded.

Other parties that process data

Party Role
Cloudflare, Inc. hosting (Cloudflare Pages)
Google Ireland Limited Google AdSense (advertising)
AD MARKET LIMITED / ADMEDIA LLC FZ Adsterra banner advertising

These parties may process data outside the European Economic Area. They describe the applicable transfer mechanisms and safeguards in their own privacy policies.

How long we keep data

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

Because we don't keep accounts or profiles ourselves, most of these rights mainly concern data held by our analytics and advertising partners. For Google, exercise them via myaccount.google.com ; for Adsterra, use the contact address in its privacy policy. For anything relating to an email you sent us directly, write to grimportchronicle@gmail.com . We reply within the statutory one-month period (Art. 12(3) GDPR).

Filing a complaint

If we can't resolve things between us, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority:

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the site, the advertising partner, or the law changes. The date at the top of this page shows when that last happened.
