Princess at the Ball
A princess mid-curtsey in a hall with a chequered floor and chandeliers above. The gown is layer on layer of folds and trim, and the chequered floor gives the page a grid to work along. A chequered floor is a grid running away in perspective, so keeping the squares alternating correctly all the way back is the discipline this page asks for.
Printing tips
Set your printer to “fit to page” and turn off headers and footers. Ordinary 80 gsm paper is fine for pencils; use 120 gsm or heavier if you colour with markers so the ink does not bleed through.
